1 May 2001 - NEWTON ST CYRES SCHOOL LAUNCHES WEBSITE
Following many months of preparation, Newton St Cyres Primary now has its very own website. The site was launched earlier last month and reactions so far have been very positive. We have tried to include enough information to give a flavour of life at our school, whilst providing a site that will be informative and useful to the parents of children in our school, as well as to other virtual visitors from schools all around the world.
The site is divided into useful sections. There is a general "Welcome" page, where a map of the school and a copy of the school prospectus can be found, and a section "About Us" that includes individual class pages that have been written with the children. Here, visitors can find out more information about what happens in each of the four classes and details of their most recent activities.
We also have an "Art Gallery" which displays a selection of children's work at school. It has been a great thrill for children to know that their artwork has been posted on the world wide web! There is a section that includes copies of recent policy documents, which may be of interest to parents and teachers from other schools, a calendar of forthcoming events and a link to our last OFSTED report. Also, for people who are moving into the area, there is an enquiries page that links directly to our administration office.
