Welcome to Class Three

Welcome to Class 3 there are thirty-one Year 3 and 4 pupils in our class. Our class teacher is Mrs Harris. In the morning, Miss Mayne helps us with our literacy and maths and in the afternoons Miss Scott-Hake is there to helps us with all the other exciting work we do; science, geography, religious education, games, dance and ICT in the computer suite.
Our classroom is friendly and fun. Here is a photograph of us all hard at work in a literacy lesson.

In the mornings we usually work on our numeracy and literacy skills. In the afternoon we have quiet reading or handwriting practice and all the other lessons. We have Dance and Games on Mondaysand Thursdays, this term we are improving our passing skills in netball. Mrs Harris tells us we are brilliant at our Tudor dancing.
We cover a different topic each half term. This half term the Key Stage 2 topic is Tudor times and we are studying Henry VIII and his wives. We have also learnt about the differesences between the poor and rich during Tudor times . Also, in literacy we will be working on historical stories.
We are currently using our ICT skills to make a Tudor newspaper but after half term we will be programming the roamer.
We really enjoy our sports clubs, we are taking a break from our cross country running club for the Autumn term and now Mrs Harris will run the football club on Mondays and Miss Mardon (our class 4 teacher) runs the netball club on Thursdays. We are looking forward to participating in the area football and netball tournaments soon.
Also, the whole of class 3 have started to learn to play the recorder and we sometimes use the guitar in our music lessons; we are getting quite good already.
